Neuropathy Treatment in Edgewater and New Smyrna Beach

What is Neuropathy?
More than 26 million Americans suffer from neuropathy every year. Symptoms can include pain, a pins-and-needles sensation, numbness, and weakness in the hands and in the feet. Sometimes neuropathy presents as a burning sensation, decreased sensitivity or and increased sensitivity in the hands and feet.

The most common cause of peripheral neuropathy is diabetes, but other causes include injury, infections or exposure to toxins (like chemotherapy treatments).

So, you are an active adult in Florida but your peripheral neuropathy has been bothering you for quite some time now. The pain is getting worse and it is now getting to the point that you can't do the activities you enjoy such as walking on the beach or the bridges, bacci, jogging, golfing, gardening, or playing tennis. It has now gotten to the point that it is painful to walk. You never thought you would dread standing on your feet!

You have tried taking over the commonly prescribed medications like antidepressants like amitriptyline, pain medications like gabapentin, oxycodone, anti-seizure medications, and pain-relieving creams, but they only provide temporary relief if anything at all. Your doctor has told you that there is nothing else that can be done besides try to manage the symptoms. Your doctor may have recommended stronger medication, but has run out of options. What are you going to do?

Fortunately for you if you are reading this, there is hope. You have found a Physical Medicine office in Edgewater, Florida that uses a team approach to treat peripheral neuropathy. This can be hard to believe given that you have tried everything, but you have never tried this.

At Coastal Integrative Healthcare we offer state of the art nerve testingto help determine the extent of the damage and the cause of the neuropathy.
Some of the treatments offered in our office that you may be a candidate for include stem cell therapy, specific therapy protocolscold laser therapy, B12 treatments / injections, and low level light therapy. Changes to your diet and supplements may also help with neuropathy symptoms.

By using a comprehensive team approach you will get the services recommended to you that you NEED and nothing more. This way you are assured you have the best chance of having to avoid more invasive procedures such as medications that are only covering up the symptoms.

You only get one life, don’t let it be controlled by neuropathy.

Early this year I was having trouble with my left arm going to sleep and start tingling. Since I’ve been coming to Coastal Chiropractic I have had fewer problems with not only my arm, but overall as well. With what I do for a living, chiropractic adjustments help me function well, and feel overall healthier.
