"It's just a little twinge..."It starts out as a little ache. You worked real hard in the yard one hot summer day in Florida and you woke up the next morning stiff. You think that this is normal and it will go away, right? Everyone gets stiff and sore after working hard in the hot sun. Maybe you think you are dehydrated.
The next day you wake up and the pain is now a little more intense. Nothing that some ice and rest won't fix right? You take a few advil or aleve since that's what usually works and then it will go away. You get through your day and look forward to feeling better tomorrow.
One day later and now instead of some moderate pain you are beginning to notice you walk differently and don't see to sit the same anymore. The pain that had started on just the right lower back as an ache is now traveling across the back and down into the butt. Well, you had this before in college one time and it was gone after a week. Let's give it a week you think.
A week later: You wake up. Well, you never really slept. Now it has gotten to the point it is affecting everything from your sleep to your sex life! Okay, now it's time to make a change you say! Some thing will motivate better than others. The pain is now traveling all the way down the leg to your foot in a sharp burning sensation. It got so bad you went to the Emergency Room and they gave you 800 mg of Ibuprofen and told you to see your "regular doctor." Your regular doctor can't get you in for another 2 weeks!
Now is the worst words your New Smyrna Beach doctor hates to hear: "I thought it would get better by itself."
The problem with this thinking is the longer that you wait, the longer it will take for you to recover. The fact of the matter is that your problem probably started even before you had that long hot day of yard work. That just pushed it over the edge. So, what do you do now?
Our doctors and staff are trained to find the cause of your problem and not just cover it up. We can reverse the effects of poor posture and arthritis that have been working for years.
My question now is "What do you think it will be like if you do nothing?"
If you had one car that you depended on and couldn't buy a new one or replace the one you had, what would you do if the check engine light came on? Cover it up with tape? Don't suffer another minute. See what we have done here for others like you in New Smyrna Beach and Edgewater FL.
